At its core, Trust & Safety work focuses on enabling and engendering user trust. Traditionally, this has meant ensuring users see safe, high-quality content, are protected from fraud and abuse, and have confidence in how their data is used. But what about making sure users feel included? In this talk, we'll show how ensuring that products are inclusive is a fundamental part of Trust & Safety work. By sharing case studies from across Google, we'll illustrate the powerful role that inclusive design can play in enabling user trust and safety across products and platforms. We'll also share best practices for product inclusion with a view towards making diversity and inclusive design a critical part of your Trust & Safety practice.
