The conversation between policymakers and trust and safety professionals is lacking, creating a misunderstanding surrounding content moderation and the important role it plays for the Internet. To further the discussion, more trust and safety professionals need to have the accessibility and capacity to set up meetings with policymakers to effectively advocate for their policy positions. This workshop will allow for trust and safety professionals to expand their knowledge and initiate impactful discussions with lawmakers, as well as facilitate and develop a path forwards toward becoming comfortable with police advancement.
