About TrustCon 2022

Millions of trust and safety professionals worldwide are responsible for the challenging work of keeping our platforms and communities safe. They create and enforce policies that determine what kinds of content and behaviors are acceptable online, while grappling with complex global events, navigating evolving technology and the way people use them, and funding solutions that balance competing interests.

TrustCon is dedicated to trust and safety professionals, bringing them together to share, learn, and collaborate. It is the only global conference of its kind, developed by trust and safety professionals for their peers. At TSPA, our vision is to build a community of practice among trust and safety professionals and provide support as they do the challenging work of keeping our platforms safe. TrustCon is the culmination of TSPA’s vision to create and foster a global community of practice between trust and safety professionals. This inaugural conference will create an enduring and supportive community; offer workshops and presentations focused on the practice of trust and safety; and explore successes, lessons learned, and the future of the field. Attendees will have the opportunity to collaborate, hear from trust and safety thought leaders, and connect with peers from all over the world.

In 2022, we will be hosting TrustCon in Palo Alto, CA. Recognizing that we are a global community, TSPA plans to hold this annual conference in various cities around the world in the coming years.

Who is this conference for?

The primary attendees will be trust and safety professionals, but we also welcome interested individuals whose work intersects with trust and safety, which includes civil society, academics, researchers, and others. For trust and safety professionals, we welcome diversity in experience and backgrounds, including those who work at large international companies, small startups, mid-enterprise, or vendor services; whose jobs range from policy to product to operations to engineering. Professionals at all levels and experience are welcome.

Registration Pricing

TSPA’s goal is to bring the entire global population of trust and safety professionals together in a meaningful community of practice. We never want cost to be a barrier.

To that end, we want to be transparent about how we priced TrustCon. Many non-profit organizations use the income from their flagship annual event to fund other programs; we have chosen not to do so, at least in this first year.

Instead, to ensure that as many professionals have access to TrustCon as possible, we have priced individual attendance well below cost. We are further increasing access by investing in a quality virtual program, a physical space that allows people on-call to work while attending the conference, and subsidized attendance through our scholarship program. We are only able to do this thanks to the generous support of TrustCon’s sponsors.

If the cost of attending TrustCon is prohibitive for you, you can find more information about our scholarship program here.
